Introductory Note – A Call for National Mobilization
Convinced patriots, living both in Haiti and in the diaspora, are undertaking to mobilize the Haitian people to help their homeland in danger and to enable the country to regain its dignity, through the Citizen Initiative for Security and Peace (ICiSP).
The approach is based on the observation that what is currently happening in Haiti represents the absolute negation of any republican order. Since the beginning of this decade, Haitian society has been trapped in a growing cycle of violence, which has intensified over the past three years.
The retreat of state authorities in the face of the bravado of conquering criminals raises the specter of mass murder. The approaches and solutions implemented so far have shown their limitations. To win this existential war, a common denominator must emerge to support the state and restore security.
